Tougher butt ban at Georgian College

As of June 1, Georgian College will close its doors to student smokers and designated spots will be the only place they can light up, or face a $50 fine.

Georgian's Smoke-Free Task Team has initiated a smoking ban at all seven campuses, restricting students from lighting up near any campus entrances.

Cheryl Simpson, head of the team, said this is one more step in the school's commitment to promoting health and wellness.
