.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is planning to discuss education and school improvement issues at a Des Moines school on June 6 after the Democrat headlines a fundraiser for the party's congressional campaign organization.

Pelosi is scheduled to meet with Des Moines school officials and members of Iowa's U.S. House delegation at Hiatt Middle School at 2:30 p.m., and hold a news conference afterward, according to preliminary scheduling information.
