Ohio college graduation rate is 54.5%, American Enterprise Institute study finds; U.S. rate 53.7%

Just over half of American college students earn a bachelor's degree within six years, according to a report released Wednesday.
The American Enterprise Institute study (pdf) compared federally reported graduation rates at 1,385 schools. The results: Only 53.7 percent of first-time, full-time students enrolled in fall 2001 graduated from the same institution by 2007.

Ohio's 62 public and private institutions averaged 54.5 percent.
