Martha Minow chosen as Harvard Law School dean

A human rights scholar and Harvard Law School faculty member since 1981 has been named the school's new dean.

Martha Minow's (MIN'-oh) appointment was announced Thursday by Harvard University President Drew Gilpin Faust. She replaces Elena Kagan, who was dean for nearly six years before being chosen as U.S. solicitor general.
