Texas A&M President Resigns

The president of Texas A&M announced her resignation on Sunday, a day before regents were scheduled to discuss the university’s leadership in what had every appearance of a decision on her future.

The president, Elsa A. Murano, issued a statement through her lawyer saying that she was doing what she believed was best for the university and that she hoped to return to the faculty.
