Editorial: Risks of online charter school outweigh benefits

In past editorials, we've expressed some skepticism concerning online K-12 education. We fully acknowledge that a diploma earned online is better than no diploma at all, but we believe that students who learn strictly online miss out on many of the important intangibles that help prepare them for college, a career and a well-balanced social life.

Also, we dislike the fact that when students enroll in online programs outside their local school district, they take their state funds with them.
