At 5,500 pounds, fudge slab bests world's record

For the last six years, Jim Crosby of St. Johns has been unsuccessful at trying to break the Guinness World Record for the largest slab of fudge.

But on Monday at Lansing Community College's West Campus, he claims to have done it.
LCC culinary professor William Nicklosovich, Crosby and a team of Lansing Community College students created a slab of fudge that Crosby said weighed 5,500 pounds.
