Girl hangs self after failing to get college admission

An 18-year-old girl allegedly hanged herself after she failed to secure admission to a college in the second cut-off list released by Delhi University, police said Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Prachi Gaur, hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her first-floor house in Kondli area in east Delhi around 8.30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
