More state education spending OK'd

State lawmakers passed a budget for K-12 education Monday evening, providing public and charter schools with $500 million more than they would have received in a budget Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed last week.
In striking the deal on the first day of a special session, not one legislator voted against the education budget. Brewer said Monday evening that she planned to sign it.
