Grand Rapids Community College store tests textbook rentals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The bookstore at Grand Rapids Community College will rent out some textbooks this fall, giving students a chance to avoid the cost of buying them.

Follett Corp.'s Higher Education Group is testing the system at six of the 860 college bookstores it runs.

Students can rent a new or used book for 42.5 percent of the retail price.
