More parents choosing to enroll children in online school, even as young as third grade

With a wealth of public, charter and private schools in the area, Waco parents have no shortage of choices for where to send their children. But there’s another option for local folks that’s gaining favor across the state — school via the home computer.

It’s not traditional home schooling, and it’s not just for high school students. Texas, through various providers, is now offering full-time, online, free public education for children as young as 7 years old.
