Education Committee to tackle zero-hour courses, career school

The Rockford School Board’s Education Committee will continue its discussion today about zero-hour courses at a 5 p.m. meeting.

At last week’s meeting, the committee heard guidelines from Chief Academic Officer Patrick Hardy about zero-hour courses.

Hardy introduced five operating standards for zero-hour courses. To be offered, the course must first show growth in the course request, meaning school officials would keep the same data to see which courses are the most requested in each school.....
