Sats tests: Ministers could investigate effect of Facebook on education

A study earlier this year suggested that regular use of such sites could harm academic achievement.

Researchers at Ohio State University found that a majority of American students who used Facebook every day were underachieving by as much as an entire grade compared with those who did not use the site.
