National expenditure on education rises

National expenditure on education continued to rise in 2008 albeit at a more moderate rate than in 2007. Total expenditure reached NIS 60.3 billion, 3% more than 2007, which was 6% more than 2006. National expenditure on education is 8.3% of GDP.
