Oregon college offers long-distance courses for soldiers

Members of the Oregon National Guard can start their college careers while still deployed in war zones, thanks to a new series of free correspondence courses at Southern Oregon University.



Southern Oregon University will offer the state university system's only distance-education program for deployed soldiers beginning with the fall term, said Mark Bottorff, admissions director.
