Survey: 1 in 5 High School Teachers Altered Student Grades Last Year

Nearly one-third of Chicago Public high school teachers say they felt pressured to inflate students’ grades this past school year. And 20 percent admit they gave in to that pressure.

The numbers are detailed in a Chicago Sun-Times report out Sunday—and are based on a joint Sun-Times/Chicago Teachers Union survey of 1,400 teachers.
