Literacy study parallels Australian and U.S. education policies

An Australian instructor doing research with the College of Education and Health Professions will return home Sept. 23 to complete her study on the differences and similarities in literacy programs in the U.S. and Australian public school systems.

The project, a collaborative study between two elementary schools in Texas and two primary schools in Australia, is about national testing, national inquiries and literacy policy, started by Jennifer Rennie, Monash University’s Education senior lecturer.....
