St. Paul College campus locked down in gun scare

St. Paul police locked down the campus of St. Paul College just after 11 a.m. today after a call came in to police that a man with a gun might be on the grounds.

Sgt. Paul Schnell, police spokesman, said the sighting report came to police second hand and that officers locked down the campus as a precaution while conducting a protective sweep.

Some students have been evacuated as officers conduct room-to-room searches, Schnell said, but no one with a gun had been found as of noon.
