UPDATE: Education expert to speak on preparing students

Dr. William R. Daggett, an educator who strives to make education more rigorous and relevant for students, will speak Oct. 13 in the Hickory High School auditorium, Hermitage.


Daggett’s talks will be geared to educators, but the general public is invited to attend.

Daggett will speak at noon on “Rigor and Relevance for ALL Students.” At 2 p.m., he will discuss “Preparing Students for the 21st Century.” Each session is expected to last about 90 minutes.
