Students rally to restore state college grants

State budget cuts that slashed financial aid in half for students who need it most has college students and officials joining together in a rallying cry.

Funding for the need-based Monetary Award Program (MAP) must be restored in order to ensure students are able to complete their college education, said Trinity Christian College President Steven Timmermans.

"If MAP goes away, college may go away for these students," Timmermans said.
