Governor touts tax-cut delay as helping education

Gov. Ted Strickland is making a political pitch for public support for his proposal to balance the state budget by using the delay of a planned income-tax cut, depicting it as the way to protect education from cuts.

The governor's re-election campaign sent out an e-mail yesterday with the subject line, "Stand with me." It asked recipients to provide their names and e-mail addresses for a petition and to forward the e-mail to five friends.
