EDITORIAL: Not a crime? It should be

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum's office should appeal a Leon County circuit judge's dismissal last week of the most serious criminal charges against former House Speaker Ray Sansom and others. If what Rep. Sansom is accused of doing isn't criminal, then Florida's political process is systemically corrupt.

A Leon County grand jury says that in 2007, Rep. Sansom, who at the time was chief budget writer in the House, concealed $6 million that went to benefit political contributor Jay Odom.....
