Tuition goes up, so does admin pay

Last Monday, U.S. News & World Report ran an article reviewing the salaries of private college presidents discussed in an analysis by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The results were shocking, and many news outlets wrote about the new statistics last week.

The Chronicle found that despite our bleak economy, presidents’ paychecks rose by 6.5 percent, more than $26,000 for typical private colleges. Salary for major private research colleges’ presidents rose by 15.5 percent in one year. These....
