USA TODAY sent an e-mail survey to dozens of Notre Dame alumni and boosters around the country. We asked about the place of Notre Dame in the college football world. We asked if Notre Dame should remain independent or join a conference, and if so, which one. And we asked who should succeed freshly fired coach Charlie Weis.
