Countdown to college: There's no substitute for a campus visit

It was an innocent cocktail party question. "So what campuses will you be visiting with your son this spring break?"

His emphatic, monosyllabic response of "None" made it very clear that he had strong feelings on the subject. When I asked why no tours, he responded, "We'll see where he gets in, and maybe in the spring of his senior year we'll visit."
