GEORGETOWN, Texas (AP) — Mitchell Davis redirected a weak-side through pass into the goal at 74:12 to lead Mesquite Poteet to a 1-0 win over Mansfield Legacy in the Class 4A boys soccer state semifinals Thursday.

Mesquite Poteet (22-4-3) will face Hidalgo Early College, which defeated Brenham 3-2 in the other semifinal on a free kick by Jesus Mireles.

Mesquite Poteet and Mansfield Legacy (22-8-2) battled through a scoreless first half and then up to the 5:48 of the match as both teams mirrored....
