Crews search river for missing St. Thomas student

Crews expanded their search Thursday for missing University of St. Thomas student who was last seen leaving a party early Sunday.

Officials took to the Mississippi River in a search boat in order to get a closer look at the bluffs in hopes of finding 19-year-old Dan Zamlen.

A friend of Zamlen, of Eveleth, says she was talking to him on his cell phone when she heard him call out for help and the phone went dead.
