BELLEVILLE -- Lindenwood University's Belleville Campus now has a mascot, giving it a newfound sense of identity.

"It's function is to boost school spirit and help create a unique identity at this campus," President James Evans said.

The lynx, a type of wild cat, will be the campus' mascot, Evans announced Thursday at an unveiling. Shannon Horn, a Lindenwood student pursing a doctorate in education degree, won the communitywide contest to select a mascot for the campus, winning him a $5,000....
