Teen claims she was raped on University of Akron's campus

AKRON -- Police at the University of Akron are looking into a 15-year-old girl's claim that she was raped on campus last month.

The teen told police that a man assaulted her in a second story stairwell at the Polsky building on March 27.

The girl is a student of Akron Public School's Early College program.

According to a police incident report, she said the man attacked her from behind. University police referred questions of the alleged rape to a university spokesman.
