College Baseball: UNCW rally bites Elon in 9th again

WILMINGTON -- Elon University's baseball team had seen this before.

UNC Wilmington's Matt Holt singled to right-center field with two outs to knock in Tyler Stott with the winning run, capping a four-run rally for the Seahawks in the bottom of the ninth inning to hand Elon a 7-6 non-conference loss Tuesday night at Brooks Field.

It was the first meeting for the two teams since the Seahawks scored 11 runs in the ninth inning to end Elon's season in the NCAA regional in last June in Cary.
