But the math is a lot harder for Metro schools leaders trying to figure how many teachers they may be forced to cut.

"I don't have a crystal ball," said Steve Glover, chair of the Board of Education's budget and finance committee. "I couldn't tell you."

Glover has been overseeing this year's budget for Metro schools. Six months ago, he told Channel 4 that the district was looking at a $5 million deficit.
