College notebook: Texas' James considers NBA draft

Texas junior Damion James has decided to gauge his NBA stock while retaining his college eligibility.

James, a 6-7 forward who averaged 15.4 points and 9.2 rebounds last season, announced Wednesday that he will enter the NBA draft but not hire an agent. He will then have the option of returning for his senior season at Texas. The deadline to withdraw from the draft is June 15.
