Paulus displays college athletics at its finest

When James Naismith invented the game of basketball in 1891, the point guard position was strongly compared to the quarterback position in football-that of a signal caller.

As the years have passed, the point guard position has transcended to more of a playmaker role and "pass-first" point guards have become more and more sparse.

Former Duke point guard Greg Paulus has been the closest "quarterback" the last four years of college basketball.
