School Board Salaries: Pay Is Not the Problem

The Legislature seems to think that one way to plug the gaping hole in the state

budget is to cut the salaries of school board members. The idea has some merit, but lawmakers would do better to focus on more serious efforts to reduce the deep cuts in education funding being contemplated in Tallahassee and in districts throughout the state.
