53 People Arrested After Off-Campus Party Turns Into Riot in Kent State University, OHIO

KENT, Ohio -- Police say 53 people were arrested when an end of the year party known as College Fest on East College Street turned into a riot Saturday.

The event attracted thousands of students and heavy alcohol consumption.

"People were super drunk, it was way different than last year," one of the students told Fox 8 News.

Tensions began escalating after police arrested an underage girl for drinking alcohol in the middle of the street and then arrested one of the girl's aquaintances.
