More students are studying Chinese than ever because the country is rapidly growing and more job and business opportunities are available. The country has been proactive about promoting tourism and more people are going to China to visit. More than 13,000 students and interns went on a Chinese study abroad program in 2009, and reports suggest that number will continue to grow because of the lure of China's booming economic climate.

Ever since the Olympic games, China has reached out to the western world and wanted more business partnerships and try to close the cultural gap between themselves and the rest of the world. They have built many nice universities with great campus and well qualified professors.
