  • Summary
    Assists with coordination of all student services functions, specifically all student orientations, student organizations, student activities and programming, ceremonies, and special events; provides assistance for all activities of the University related to student leadership development, co-curricular, and service initiatives; addresses student concerns and co-curricular needs and contributes to the overall goals and objectives of the Office of Student Services.

    Principal Functional Responsibilities
    1) Coordinate student organizations including but not limited to organizations’ registration processes, , Presence pages, and data management. 25%
    2) Assist with event planning for university sponsored events, college specific events, student activities and service days. 25%
    3) Coordinate online orientation (onboarding) and in-person orientation logistics, scheduling, design and implementation for all cohorts. 20%
    4) Manage student organization budgets, including processing all student reimbursement forms, deposits and check requests and Square Reader Database for student organization credit card payments. 10%
    5) Assist with identifying and responding to Student Concerns in a timely fashion; utilize the Ask & Answer newsletter to communicate out these responses to address student satisfaction issues. 10%
    6) Manage the student event listservs, approves and monitors event email requests, and technology needs related to student organizations and student events 5%
    7) Represent the Director as requested (committee attendance, etc) and perform other related duties as assigned. 5%

    Education/Degrees: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree in a related educational field preferred.

    Experience: 1 – 3 years related work experience in event planning and/or student activities. Experience in higher education preferred.

    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to support all activities of the office, including weekday evening and weekend hours.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in a related educational field preferred. Experience in higher education preferred.

    Physical Requirements
    Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear and occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or kneel. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
