  • JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Grant Project Coordinator assists the Primary Investigator (PI) with oversight, management, and personnel for the Department of Labor-funded program grant. This position assists in coordinating education and training events; student tuition and stipends, manages the data spreadsheet for quarterly reporting, facilitates meetings with grant faculty and staff, surveys to stipend students and graduates each year, and other duties as requested by the PI.

    Responsibilities
    Responsible for day-to-day coordination and implementation of grant objectives and work plan.
    Assists in the development of the program's implementation plan; consults with academic-clinical advisory partners.
    Facilitates the implementation of the internship plan and evaluates internship experiences using standards of best practice (SOBP).
    Contributes to the evaluation of the program and dissemination of program results, quarterly, and at the conclusion of the grant.
    Assists the grant team in gathering needed data for grant reporting.
    Conducts regular and special surveys/studies for educational/training events, compiles data, and prepares related reports for review and discussion
    Prepares written material ensuring accurate and effective representation of the program.
    Compiles and prepares reports on a quarterly and annual basis; makes recommendations on conclusions in compliance with grantee or federal reporting requirements.
    Schedules and facilitates regular grant team meetings.
    Represents the unit or department at meetings; makes recommendations on program grant policies and procedures.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

    EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to compile information into report form and collaborate on the production of abstracts and manuscripts.
    Ability to organize and anticipate the needs of student nurses in an internship program.
    Skilled using Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
    Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
    Excellent organizational skills and persistent follow-through with delegated tasks.
    Ability to consistently achieve assigned deadlines.
    Ability to interact with sensitivity and social/cultural competence with people of a wide range of ages and cultures.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to coordinate, administer, and follow up on participant appointments.
