Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Extended Learning staff with social media needs.
Manage social media presence on selected platforms.
Maintain day-to-day operation of blog(s), including writing relevant and engaging posts for distance ed faculty.
Day-to-day monitoring of blogs and mainstream media; post helpful/relevant comments.
Contribute and execute new ideas for social media outreach strategy.
Assist in other social media roles and support, as needed.
Assist in planning and implementation of social marketing campaigns for specific marketing goals.
Monitor social media outlets and respond on topics related to distance education.
Keep up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web-design, and business/industry trends.
Manage on-line discussions by listening to users and responding in a timely manner to users’ needs, requests, and comments.
Prepare reports to update supervisor on usage statistics.
Update SOP for this position.
Other projects as assigned.
