High school freshman shot by senior on campus

Warren Lewis, an 18-year-old senior at North Forest High School, about 21km northeast of downtown Houston, allegedly shot the ninth-grader in an upstairs hallway of the school, myFOXhouston.com reported.

The shooting took place at around 12:30pm local time, according to KRIV-TV. The victim, who has not been named, is in stable condition.

School district spokesperson Sue Davis said Lewis was expected to face a charge of aggravated assault.
